Terms of Use

The rules for using Apeer’s Grade 12 Mathematics revision service.

Effective date: 18 October 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use apply when you access or use the Apeer mobile application and related services. By creating an account or using Apeer, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. What Apeer provides

Apeer is an educational revision service for Grade 12 Mathematics learners, with flashcards, memorandum content, progress tracking, level progression and Lost Mark Analysis.

3. Educational purpose

Apeer is a revision aid and does not guarantee examination results, marks, admission or any academic outcome. Apeer is not the Department of Basic Education, an examination authority or a school, and no such endorsement should be inferred.

4. Your account

You must provide accurate information, keep sign-in details secure and use your own account. Where applicable law requires parent, guardian or competent-person involvement for a learner, the account must be used consistently with those requirements.

5. Acceptable use

6. Examination and intellectual-property content

Past-examination material, memoranda, illustrations, trade marks and third-party material remain the property of their respective rights holders. Apeer’s software, design, branding and original materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

7. Accuracy

We aim to present source examination material and memorandum content accurately. Source documents may contain errors, and technical processing can occasionally require correction. Report problems with the year/session, paper and question number.

8. Progress and LMA

Progress, levels, attempts and LMA are learning-support features, not official marks or examination records.

9. Purchases

Apeer may introduce optional paid features in future. Where purchases are offered through an app store, the app store’s payment and refund terms will also apply.

10. Availability

We may maintain, update or change Apeer to improve reliability, security, learning content or compliance. We do not promise uninterrupted availability.

11. Suspension or termination

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce these terms, comply with law, respond to abuse or protect Apeer systems. You may stop using Apeer and request account deletion at any time.

12. Privacy

See the Apeer Privacy Policy.

13. Third-party services

Apeer may rely on third-party infrastructure, app stores and service providers. Their terms may apply to services they provide directly to you.

14. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, Apeer is provided on an “as available” basis. Nothing here excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law.

15. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Apeer is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising solely from use of or inability to use the service. This does not exclude liability where exclusion is prohibited by law.

16. Updates

We may update these terms when Apeer, its services or applicable requirements change. Updated terms will be published here.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, subject to mandatory rights that apply to you.
